Duties

  • Preside over all business meetings and Executive Committee meetings.

  • Plan, set goals, generate ideas, evaluate and set direction.

  • Appoint and establish any necessary committees.

  • Serve as an ex-officio member on all committees.

  • Present business to the organization.

  • Communicate ideas and information.

  • Professionally represent the organization at all times.

  • Appoint a committee to review and/or revise the chapter bylaws as necessary.

  • Establish and remain informed of deadlines.

  • Convene frequently with Advisor to keep him/her apprised of activities for Phi Tau.

  • Motivate and recognize the achievement of officers and members.

  • Understand and educate membership to ensure that organization adheres to campus and organizational regulations.

  • Provide an effortless transition for the subsequent officer team.

  • Facilitate the completion of the organizational annual report.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraises.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Serve as co-chair with the Vice President of Leadership on all Honors in Action duties

VICE PRESIDENT OF LEADERSHIP

Cristian Aponte

  • Perform all duties of the president in the event of his/her absence.

  • Serve as parliamentarian.

  • Encourage and recognize academic excellence.

  • Manage all committees, as required.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Serve as co-chair with the President on all Honors in Action duties

  • Represent Phi Tau in Student Government Association

VICE PRESIDENT OF SCHOLARSHIP

Corey Woods

  • Coordinate,  organize, and manage College Project duties.

VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBERSHIP

Miliani Lara

Tuesdays 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm.

Duties

  • While working with the Vice-President of Fellowship:

    • Organize the Induction Ceremony.

  • Coordinate the chapter’s  C4 (Community College Completion Corps) and CollegeFish program activities.

  • Encourage and recognize academic excellence.

  • Recruit and promote recruitment of new members.

  • Inform new inductees of membership particulars.

  • Encourage members to complete service activities and pay their dues promptly.

  • Coordinate with chapter to produce membership drive activities.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraisers.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Manage all Member Orientation duties.

  • Early College High School Liaison works closely with the officer team to build a working relationship between the students and the Phi Theta Kappa-Phi Tau family.  We hope to prepare the ECHS student body to take roles in leadership, scholarship, fellowship, and service.

VICE PRESIDENT OF SERVICE

  • Coordinate all service events.

VICE PRESIDENT OF FUNDRAISING

  • Embark on activities to achieve the objectives of the fundraising strategy.

  • Maintain and increase current income streams from local events.

  • Prepare and present funding applications.

  • Support existing fundraising activities.

  • Secure donations of services and time in support of chapter.

  • Work closely with President and Treasurer on annual budget.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Maintain a current record of inventory and financial records of fundraising.

VICE PRESIDENT OF FELLOWSHIP

Alekxi Simonelli

  • Promote scholarly fellowship at all levels of the society.

  • Manage all committees, as required.

  • Act as program chair, as necessary.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraisers.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Duties

  • Draft and submit press releases to all area newspapers.

  • Promote the chapter at all levels of the society.

  • Develop and maintain Phi Tau social media presence.

  • Oversee the development of and update the chapter website.

  • Share the responsibility of taking photographs at all chapter events with the Historian.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraisers.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Maintain a social media presence.

  • Coordinate and organize High School Showcase duties.

  • Both the Historian and PR Officer are responsible for heading and coordinating PTK Awareness Week.

HISTORIAN

Duties

  • Maintain a full record of chapter functions.

  • Share the responsibility of taking photographs at all chapter events with the chapter Public Relations Officer.

  • Prepare and maintain the chapter scrapbook for regional, state, international meetings and conventions.

  • Prepare and preserve Phi Tau history for archiving.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraisers.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Coordinate and organize Phi Tau Display Case.

  • Both the Historian and PR Officer are responsible for heading and coordinating PTK Awareness Week.

D2 Representative 

Anirudh Nemmani

Fall Semester Office Hours 

Thursdays   10:00 am - 11:00 am.

Duties

  • Stay informed and up to date with all D2 activities.

  • Build relations with D2 president.

  • Report all D2 activities to Phi Tau chapter on a by-weekly basis.

  • Collaborate with Public Relation officer in providing information regarding D2.

  • Coordinate details of all D2 conference and evens.

  •  Collaborate with VP of Fellowship in planning and coordination of connecting with other chapters and updating D2 calendar.

  •  Maintain D2 events calendar.

RECORDING SECRETARY

  • Take roll at the beginning of each meeting.

  • Take minutes of general and executive committee meetings.

  • Maintain records of general meetings and executive committee meetings.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Maintain current list of office supplies

  • Coordinate and organize all Competitive Edge duties.

TREASURER

Russell Wagner

Duties

  • Keep an updated record of chapter financial activities set of books that may be reviewed at any time by the Student Activity Office, officers and/or advisors and approved by the Director, Student Development Services before the office is relinquished.

  • Make a report of finances at each business meeting.

  • Work closely with President and Fundraising Officer on annual budget.

  • Actively contribute in chapter fundraisers.

  • Serve in partnership with the executive committee as a leadership team.

  • Make deposits into student organization account as per TCC policy.

  • Coordinate and organize Fall Fest and Spring Fest duties.
